Buick Announces New Encore

Buick has now announced the release of their all new 2013 Buick
Encore! The new 2013 Encore is a small luxury crossover, but don't let
its size fool you! This car really packs a punch! The vehicle is
designed with luxury in mind, with interior acoustic refinement and a
myriad of luxury amenities. The new vehicle will be on display at the
Detroit Auto Show and companies will start selling the vehicle in early
2013.
"Buick Encore is a great-looking, smart choice for those who
want luxury crossover amenities in a more maneuverable and agile
vehicle, " said Tony DiSalle, U.S. vice president of Buick Marketing. "It
represents a luxury alternative for a new audience of Buick customers,
and delivers features and flexibility not typically found in vehicles of
its size today."
Buick has been increasing in popularity over the
years. Most recently, Buick gained two consecutive years of higher
sales. Buick hopes that the new model will round out their Buick lineup
by sitting alongside the Verano. The Verano is the make's third all-new
sedan in three years and the new Enclave will provide a great new choice
for Buick customers. The Enclave line was started almost five years ago
and already it has gained so much popularity that it is ready for yet
another remodel.
The new crossover will seat five and will hold
almost fifty cubic feet of storage space in the rear, making this an
excellent family vehicle. The luxury amenities also help out mom and
dad, by keeping kids occupied in the back seat while parents drive. The
new Encore features a higher driving position for confident driving and
all-wheel-drive capability. Compared to many of Buick's regular
competitors the cargo space for this new Encore definitely wins!
The
Encore will also feature a standard of ten airbags. The Encore also
utilizes the power of the great new Ecotec engine that has become very
popular over the last year. The vehicle will come equipped with
IntelliLink capability. IntelliLink is Buick's Bluetooth or USB powered
service that allows the driver to connect their smartphone to a
vehicle's LCD display radio. QuietTuning will also come standard on the
Encore, a great technology that Buicks are known for which utilizes
noise cancellation technology to produce the best sound experience
possible for customers.
And the new Encore isn't just about
amenities, although those were definitely Buick's priority in the design
of the vehicle. Even though the car focuses a lot on the excellent
features, the designers made sure that the new vehicle was going to live
up to the Buick name in how elegant it looks!
The Encore features
sweeping character lines, something the Buick line has come to be well
known for. The new Encore can easily be identified as a contemporary
Buick vehicle by the character lines as well as the other gorgeous
accents like the waterfall grille, chrome accents and surrounds,
portholes on the hood and painted lower panels.
"The Encore brings
Buick's timeless, sculptural design to the crossover segment in a way
that blends elegance, efficiency and utility, " said David Lyon,
executive director of design. "There's confidence in its athletic stance
and elemental beauty in its rich details."
The Encore designers
really wanted to highlight the elegance of the vehicle by putting in
blue accented headlights and detailed tail lights. The vehicle also
comes standard with five-spoke painted aluminum wheels and they make
seven-spoke chrome wheels available.
The instrument panel on the
new vehicle wraps naturally into the door panels for a very complete and
whole look. There is the large seven inch IntelliLink display screen at
the center of the instrument panel as well as displays for the Sirius
XM radio that comes equipped standard on many of GM's vehicles. The
vehicle designers focused on a mix of dark and light colors for the
color scheme in order to give the cabin a distinguished look. To enhance
that distinguished look designers
also placed in ambient ice blue lighting in the cabin, similar to the
blue accents in the headlights. The seats are made of a high density
foam in order to give the driver and their passengers an experience of
premium vehicle comfort. Buick is really excited about the release of this new vehicle and expects it to take off with a bang!
